FAQ – FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Here are some Frequently Asked Questions about Paintless Dent Removal (PDR)

Q: What is Paintless Dent Removal?

A: Paintless Dent Removal (PDR) is the massaging of metal back into its original form. It is the fastest, most efficient, cost-effective method of removing door dings and minor dents. We do this without the use of Paint, Bondo or Fillers. It is the auto-body alternative. It also keeps your finish original.

Q: How is (PDR) done?

A: Our PDR process involves using a special light that casts a reflection of a straight edge. With highly skilled training and acute hand-eye coordination, our experienced technicians use the lines as a point of reference, while gaining access behind the damaged panel with custom designed dent removal tools. We then gently use these tools to massage the damaged area from behind, without disturbing the factory finish on your car.

Q: How long does it take?

A: A single dent can take up to 30 minutes to an hour and multiple dents usually around 1 to 2 hours.

Q: How must does it cost?

A: Depending on size, access, depth and location, an average repair cost is between $95-$125 (usually 70% less than a body shop). With multiple dents and dings, the tech will quote the customer a package price.

Q: Is the work guaranteed?

A: Absolutely. Our work is 100% customer satisfaction guaranteed! If for some reason you are not completely satisfied with our work, then we will not charge.

Q: How big a dent can you fix?

A: Based on the location, how deep, how much the metal is stretched and accessibility, the technicians sometimes repair dents as large as one foot in diameter. Because the metal stretches sometimes when the damage happens, after the repair is completed there may be a small distortion visible with a trained eye. It will still be more cost effective than taking it to a body shop, plus you’ll be amazed how good it looks.

Q: Can PDR damage or crack my paint?

A: It’s rare, but sometimes a dent will be in a area that is questionable. These types of dents are rare, but the technician will always explain the situation to the customer before doing the repair. In most cases, an experienced technician can heat the area and complete the repair successfully. Our certified technicians take every precaution to ensure your finish is never damaged.

Q: Will my insurance company pay for the PDR?

A: Yes, you can file an insurance claim to include this repair. Our charge will probably be less than your deductible. You can repair your car affordably with PDR and not risk increasing your insurance premiums.
